Thank you for your prayers and support. Although the goal of our monthly newsletters is to educate believers and local churches, we want to share God’s provision through opportunities and growth. We invite you to join us in giving thanks.
Our mission is to encourage and equip God’s people with biblical and practical tools to help those struggling in difficult or abusive domestic situations. We are committed to supporting local, Christ-honoring churches and organizations to identify, support, protect and provide for individuals affected by domestic abuse.
Some common questions are:
- What if I suspect abuse? I don’t want to make it worse.
- What if the victim doesn’t want help?
- How do I guard against false accusations?
- What if the abuser uses Scripture on submission?
- What’s the difference between normal conflict and abuse?
- Do I need both sides of the story?
- When do I involve legal authorities?
Because domestic oppression is rooted in deception and injustice, it can be difficult to come to terms with the reality reported by the World Health Organization (March 9, 2021): one in three women and one in seven men experiences its effect. Whether in the world or in the church, it seems everybody knows somebody who needs this kind of help.
Clarity in Action Ministries has carefully searched Scripture to determine what God expects of us as believers in these difficult circumstances. Many individuals do not realize the ungodly or destructive relationships they live with every day. What does Scripture say about how to minister to them? And how can the local Church, the Body of Christ, shine like stars in the world, holding firm to the word of life?
Clarity in Action Ministries serves the believing community in the following ways:
- Light in the Darkness Training– 5-hours of teaching that begin with the Biblical importance of this topic (from Jude, Acts, 2 Timothy, and OT prophets) and a Biblical Foundation for Care (Ephesians). We then explain dynamics of marital oppression, provide case studies, teach on commonly misapplied Scripture, and give practical help. We travel with resources for the local church or community. A suggested donation supports the Victim Care Fund.
In 2024 we presented to 2 churches. In 2025 we presented to 7 churches; another 4 are scheduled for 2026 (see below). God is providing opportunities and we are grateful. Send a request to connect@clarityministry.org if your church is interested. To better understand what we teach, watch this video: https://clarityministry.org/light-in-the-darkness/
- Consultation with our leaders for situations that need help.
- Biblical Victim Care Course – this class is offered several times a year through Christian Chaplains & Coaching. Individuals or groups may take this course either via livestream or a self-directed platform. Cost covers material, platform, and supports the Victim Care Fund.
The asynchronous (self-paced) online Biblical Victim Care Course started with 3 individuals in January 2025. In 2025, 26 individuals took the asynchronous class and another 16 completed the livestream class.
- Victim Care Fund – set up to help individuals in financial distress while navigating to safety. These funds are distributed through qualifying churches and graduates of the Biblical Victim Care Course. One recipient shared this:
I’m making minimum wage as a former SAHM who homeschooled and am currently housekeeping, overseeing my daughter’s 4th grade virtual and hybrid education while my 8 year old special needs son…transitions to a charter school..[and] caring for our 3 year old.
I reached out for prayer and one thing led to another. Clarity in Action was able to [help] cover costs… The Lord brought funds from numerous seemingly random and unforeseen places…. It’s weeks later and I am still in awe at what God has done.
- Clarity for Life: Gospel-Centered Relationships – this pilot retreat is designed to help us seek clarity and connection as Jesus followers during a 22-hour retreat held February 27-28, 2026 in IA. For more information and/or registration please contact us at connect@clarityministry.org. Limited openings are available. Registration closes January 1

“For we are not proclaiming ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’s sake. For God who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:5-6)
