What’s Trust Got to Do with It?

by | May 7, 2025 | Article | 0 comments

The most important element of a relationship is trust.

God Himself is eternally relational. At the beginning of time He created Adam and Eve to display the importance and intentionality of human relationships. We see the value He places on relationships because He made a way for us to be in an ongoing, intimate relationship with Him through faith in Jesus Christ. God, the I AM, the ever-present One, does not abandon or forsake His own. Based on His Word and example, we believe all of Scripture and history revolves around relationships

At Clarity in Action Ministries, we believe it’s important to define terms, so the next few newsletters will address the element of trust. We trust God because He has proven Himself trustworthy. He demonstrated His love in Christ. He has earned our trust.

If God is for us, who is against us? He did not even spare his own Son but gave him up for us all. How will he not also with him grant us everything? (Romans 8:31-32)

Trust is a reflection of confidence and security. The whole of our relationship with God is one of faith, or trust.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

and do not rely on your own understanding;
in all your ways know him,

and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

God cannot, will not, trick, betray, or misuse us. He invites us to trust Him because it’s best for us. Because we don’t know. Because so many things are out of our control. He knows. He cares. He is able and willing to help us. And because He’s trustworthy, we seek and follow Him first and foremost.

Prayerfully,

Clarity in Action Ministries
