Thank you for your support and prayers.God has provided through you and Clarity in Action is within $3000 of our start-up goal of $10,000. To date, your gifts have been used for:
- Attorney fees to draw up papers and file for nonprofit status
- IRS application fees
- An organizational logo and branding
- A WordPress website
- Postal expenses
- A liability Insurance policy
That may not be the most exciting gift list you’ve seen, but each one is necessary to get Clarity in Action up and running. Our last start-up purchases include a display for conferences, promotional video, and improved website. When we are prepared to minister effectively, we will create a specific fund for those impacted by domestic abuse. Thank you for your prayers and financial gifts. If each individual or family contributed $10/month, we could be a functioning ministry by the end of summer!
There is growing concern for the number of young people leaving the church and deconstructing their faith. “In 2021, statistics held that 70% of youth leave the faith after high school” (Lifeway Research). At the same time, professing Christian leaders have had their sin exposed, one after another. What we are experiencing is the result of failing to act justly, to love mercy, and walk humbly with God, resulting in the use of the weak for the benefit of the strong. One woman said, “If God is like my dad, He is someone to fear. He is prideful, selfish, critical, judgmental, angry, oppressive, uncaring. He does what He wants.”
If you and your church are unaware of how domestic oppression affects your congregation–or you see it but don’t know what to do about it–please invite Clarity in Action. If you are unable to cover travel costs, consider including others in your geographical area. Pastor Mike Gittins and Sydney Millage live in Minnesota and Iowa, respectively, and are prepared to provide 4-6 hours of training:
Session 1: Introduction (Pastor Mike Gittins: 60 minutes)
Session 2: Biblical Foundation (Pastor Mike Gittins: 40 minutes)
Session 3: Dynamics of Domestic Abuse/Domination (Sydney Millage: 40 minutes)
Session 4: Case Study Discussions and Follow Up (Sydney Millage: 70 minutes)
Session 5: Commonly Misapplied Scripture (Pastor Mike Gittins: 45 minutes)
Session 6: Practical Helps and Foundations (Pastor Mike and Sydney: 60 Minutes)

We are blessed when God multiplies the loaves and fish we put in His hands. Now we’re looking for baskets to put them in. Please consider your part in multiplying our efforts or being a conduit for service. Thank you for your prayers and partnership with us in the gospel.
