It’s nearly the end of 2023 and we are excited to be part of God’s work! Thank you for your continued prayers and support!
On Tuesday, November 21, we finished the 12-week Biblical Victim Care Course. Individuals signed up for the class for a variety of reasons:
- To learn more about domestic abuse and victim care in the church.
- To learn how to help victims of abuse.
- Because of ongoing education needs , particularly a lack of experience in DV (domestic violence).
Participants reported that the class exceeded their expectations, was a good experience, and, without exception, they would recommend it to others.
When asked if it was a good use of their time, they said:
- It was taught in an organized manner that helped me understand piece by piece the complexity of oppression and the hope that Christ gives.
- Even though I’ve learned a lot of the same principles through previous Biblical training it was nice to have them applied in this context.
- Not only did I learn a lot, but I was able to get connected with others who were also striving to learn and help those struggling in the DV area. Moreover, valuable resources were discovered that I had no previous exposure to and I am sure will help our Biblical Counseling ministry!
Register here for the next class to be held January 9 – March 26, 2024 on Tuesdays from 1:00-3:00 p.m. The cost is $300 and will be recorded for future use.
